MENTAL HEALTH and PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES
The first ever KAAGAPAY SA PAGLABAN SA COVID-19 School- Based Mental Health Psychosocial Support Service, a DepEd Program was conducted from July 15 to August 17, 2020.
An opening program was conducted with the launching of Brigada sa Pagbasa through online platform with Leonida L. Raden as the resource speaker. It was seconded by a webinar session on Psychological First Covid-19 response by Jasper Noel Barba Chapter Service of Representative of Red Cross.
Day 2 (July 16) of the said program begun with an Art Work participated by the learners thru the expertise of Janahleen Q. Laguna. Fr. Teodulo P. Gonzales discussed 12 Master’s Lessons in the Field of Counseling / therapy.
Day 3 (July 17) Started thru a Zumba session led by Janahleen Q. Laguna and Marilyn B. Ibanez. Then, an advocacy campaign on Gulayan sa Tahanan through Social media through the effort of Beverly D. Surmieda. Teachers, non-teaching and parents were reminded of its importance at home and even in school.
Day 4 (July 20) a Zumba Session by Janahleen Q. Laguna and Mary Claire N. Umali made the day warm along with the teaching/ non-teaching personnel, parents as well as the learners. While Booklatan, a reading session with series of comprehension questions afterwards was specially designed for grade 4-6 learners, with Gleena G. Barillo, Haidee E. De Leon and Brenda R. Gapasangra.
Day 5 (July 22) the learners were once again educated and entertained no less than by Janahleen Q. Laguna thru an Art Work session. It was followed by a webinar session on Parenting in the content of Covid -19 Pandemic tackled by Leony Abrajano.
Day 6(July 24) is a Zumba Day executed by Janahleen Q. Laguna and Marilyn B. Ibanez. Trisha Jamora a RTM, discussed with the learners “Personal Hygiene on Student’s Forum.
Day 7 (July 27) is the day of Parents’ Virtual Workshop on. How to make a face mask and How to make a crochet. Quite timely specially in this time of pandemic.
July 8(July 29) the topic Resiliency in the New Normal was talked over by Evelyn C. Sotomayor specially for the sake of teaching / non-teaching personnel and parents.
Day 9 (July 31) The last day of the month becomes so ideal and worthwhile thru another Zumba session courtesy of Janahleen Q. Laguna and Mary Claire Umali and Booklatan for Grade 2 -3 facilitated by Dolorcita A. Dichoso.
